Strategic Planner in a public service need to go through a lot of material to keep up with geopolitical and technological trends. He/She scans over 50 web-sources every month that use up ~20 man-hours every month. This results in anxiety over missing out on processing key information.

We interviewed 4 users with low-fidelity prototypes (above), and obtained the following insights

(1) Info overload as main painpoint

There is "too much to process". Main "dream" is AI to "read for me" and provide summaries for top mentioned trends.

(2) Secondary painpoint is "effort to produce a newsletter"

"Dream" is for a auto-complier into a "Newsletter template".

(3) Adjacent painpoint that "people don't read newsletters

Newsletters are not how people consume info now". "Dream" for semi-auto production of content into other consumable formats such as podcasts.

(4) Worried about subsequent maintenence of App

Not cocnerned with "look and feel" or the need to be seamless. Willing to "jump" across multiple services and platforms to "get it done". Ask for documentation within "app".
